Grass Jelly, also known as black jelly and has medicinal effects. This is a herbaceous plant, with many branches, spreading out on the ground like a mint plant. The leaves are light green, egg-shaped, with toothed edges. It originates from Southern China but was imported to Vietnam a long time ago. The leaves have a sweet taste, cool properties, and have a cooling effect, helping the body of metabolic processes take place easily so they are often used to cook and process into cooling jelly in the summer days.
