Okra is a great source of vitamins A and C. Each one-ounce serving (about one-twelfth of a cup) of okra provides about 20% of the US recommended daily intake of vitamin A, and 10% of the daily vitamin C needs for adults. The same amount of okra also contains approximately 20% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin K and over 100% of the daily recommended intake of folate. It is also an excellent source of the B-complex vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, and pyridoxine).
